Welsh Rarebit

Try this recipe for Welsh Rarebit (also Welsh rabbit), a traditional snack dish eaten in Wales. For this recipe you will need, Cheddar cheese, beer, eggs, cayenne pepper, Dijon mustard, walnuts, apples, broccoli spears, and bread (toast). You can omit the broccoli, nuts, and apples if you like for a more authentic rarebit.

There are some variations of this dish, too. Put a poached egg on top for buck rarebit, add bacon for Yorkshire rarebit, or top with onions, vinegar, gherkins (sweet pickles) and herbs for an Irish rarebit.

Post a comment after you try this dish - did you like it?
